Red Bank tunnels nr Millow St

Millom St bridge is where the River Irk joins the River Irwell.Situated in the area of Red Bank, which was once one of the most notorious areas of slum housing in Manchester. The last of the slums were demolished in the 1930s. In the 2000s, a prestigious new housing development appeared on the site. The tunnel here is where the River Irk flows under Victoria Station and into the Irwell. .
